Ohio Dominican University Theatre Presents Anything Goes

COLUMBUS, OHIO-- Ohio Dominican University will present the musical comedy, Anything Goes. The performance will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29 and again at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 30. All performances will be in the Matesich Theatre located in Erskine Hall on the Ohio Dominican main campus, 1216 Sunbury Road. Tickets are $5 at the door, with no advance sales.

The musical follows the S.S. American as it sets sail for England with an eclectic mix of passengers including the famous nightclub singer Reno Sweeny and her four angels, along with Public Enemy #13, Moonface Martin and his ditzy sidekick Bonnie.  The hopeless romantic, Billy Crocker is also among the passengers as is his already taken love interest, Hope Harcourt and her fiance, the wealthy Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. 

The cast includes freshman Leah Crout as Reno Sweeny; Phillip Tobin as Moonface Martin; Kristi Kratzer as Bonnie Latour; senior Ben Schaad as Billy Crocker; junior Kristen Brown as Hope Harcourt; and Chris Echesabal as Evelyn Oakleigh.

Students from the music department of The Ohio State University will serve as the accompanying orchestra. Jeremy Amweg, a sophomore at OSU, is the music director and Mitchell Aaron Finke of Mitchell Aaron Productions is serving as choreographer. Christina Malagisi will direct with Derrick Szarmach and Dave Martin serving as assistant directors.
