Ohio Dominican Names Magendie as Dean of Student Life

COLUMBUS, OH – Ohio Dominican University has appointed Carol Magendie as Dean of Student Life for the University. 

Dean Magendie will be primarily responsible for oversight of Residence Life, Student Activities, New Student Orientation and Disability Accommodations and will serve as a resource for general student concerns. 

In making this appointment, Drew Klein, Vice President for Student Development, stated, “We are fortunate to have someone with Carol’s experience, knowledge and passion join our staff.  She has already made a difference in a number of areas that will have a direct and positive impact on students’ experiences at Ohio Dominican University.” 

Magendie comes to ODU from Southeastern Louisiana University, where she was Assistant to the Vice President for Student and Public Affairs and prior to that, served as Director of Marketing and Promotions at the university.  She holds a master’s degree in Religious Education and a bachelor’s degree in Social Studies from Loyola University in New Orleans. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, American Association of Suicidology and the American Society for Public Administration. 

Magendie resides in Blacklick, Ohio.
