Ohio Dominican University Appoints Ochal as Director of Intercultural Students

COLUMBUS, OH – Ohio Dominican University has appointed Melissa Ochal as the Director of the Intercultural Students Office. 

“The recently renamed Office of Intercultural Students will play important roles in both the new efforts to increase our international student population and the level of multicultural programming on campus,” said Drew Klein, Vice President for Student Development.  “It is our good fortune to have Melissa joining our team. She brings a wealth of experience in both of these areas.”

Prior to joining Ohio Dominican, Ochal worked for The Ohio State University’s Office of International Education as coordinator of International Students.  She also held positions as an admissions assistant in Brandeis University’s Sustainable International Development Program and as a graduate assistant in OSU’s Office of International Education and Multicultural Center.  She is a member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators.

Ochal earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Boston College and a master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from The Ohio State University. She is a resident of Columbus.
