Ohio Dominican University Dean Elected President of Ohio Association of Colleges for Teacher Education

COLUMBUS, OH – Ohio Dominican University’s Dean of the Division of Education, Dr. Bonnie Beach, has been elected President of the Ohio Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.
The association is a state affiliate of The American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE), a national voluntary association of higher education institutions and other organizations dedicated to ensuring the highest quality preparation and continuing professional development for teachers and school leaders in order to enhance PK-12 student learning.
OACTE members are the 50 colleges and universities within the State of Ohio that are certified by the Ohio Department of Education to prepare pre-service teachers for licensure as certified P-12 teachers.
Dr. Beach is the incoming president of the Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics and is a member of the American Educational Research Association, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the Ohio Mathematics Education Leadership Council, School Science and Mathematics Association and the Ohio Association of Teacher Educators. Dr. Beach earned both her doctorate and master’s degrees in Mathematics Education from Ohio University; and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Science Education from The Ohio State University.
She resides in Gahanna.
