COLUMBUS, OHIO – Ohio Dominican University’s Master’s in Theology program graduated a record nine students at its 87th commencement exercise on Saturday, May 12, 2007 on the Oval in front of Erskine Hall on Ohio Dominican’s main campus, 1216 Sunbury Road.
The Master’s in Theology program began in January of 2002, and has graduated a total of eight students prior to this year.
“Our MA in Theology program is blessed to have students from such diverse backgrounds. Theological reflection on our shared faith is enhanced when the students bring to class their life experiences, “ said Dr. Barbara Finan. “This year we have nine who have completed their work. These nine instantly double our number of alums. Although we hate to lose them as students, we are most proud to have them as graduates of the program.”
One of the graduates, Sister Rosemary Mwima, came to Ohio Dominican from Zambia, Africa. Sponsored by the Dominican Sisters, St. Mary of the Springs, Sr. Mwima has been at Ohio Dominican for four years, and in that time, completed both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
