ODU's Graduate Certificate in Public Administration is designed to improve your ability to navigate and lead across government sectors of society.

The Graduate Certificate focuses on the administrative knowledge and skills in such diverse areas as governmental accounting, budgeting, finance, management and personnel policies. Courses are drawn from the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.

The certificate program is ideal for practicing public administrators as well as those seeking entry-level position in public administration. 

Note: Students cannot complete both the MBA with a Public Administration concentration and the Graduate Certificate in Public Administration.

Admission Requirements

  • An existing master's degree. 

  • The same admission requirements as those for the Master of Business Administration.
