Majors at Ohio Dominican
Sociology
The philosophy of the Sociology program presupposes that all people are called, both personally and socially, to develop a just society.
Ohio Dominican University ’s Sociology major focuses on a comprehensive, global understanding of society and social issues. Areas of study include social institutions such as the family, politics, economics, education, and religion, as well as issues including the creation of culture and even reality; how we become members of a society, and how societies address differences. Sociology graduates work in business, education, religious institutions and social agencies, while others continue their study at the graduate level.
