Joann Obermeyer Rauh
Joann Obermeyer Rauh graduated from St. Mary of the Springs (now Ohio Dominican University) in 1952 with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and minors in Math and English. Her first job out of college was with Procter and Gamble in Cincinnati, researching cooking oil and workings as a member of the team that developed Duncan Hines cake mixes. She later taught high school English and Math while she and her husband lived in Europe. She was elected to the county council four times; has served as president of her local meals on wheels; was a member of the County Council for Retarded and Vocationally Handicapped; member of the Council of Economic Development; and volunteered as a CCD Teacher for her church. As a person who excels and everything that she does, Joann also has a private and commercial pilot license.
