Double Dominicans
Brian Franz '89 and Andy Hughes '88 were friends in high school as well as at Ohio
Dominican. So, Andy's little sister Jeannie Hughes, and Brian were casually acquainted
for years before actually dating.
Jeannie says, "One day I was in Spangler library and another of my brother's
friends asked me out. He was someone I really found annoying. I ran into Brian that
day and complained to him that I wished one of my brother's nice friends would ask me
out. According to Brian, I planted the idea in his head that day to ask me out.
However, it took him six years to actually ask me out."
Brian finally did ask Jeannie out. They are happily married with two children,
Zachary and Jacob.
