Resources for Students with Disabilities
- Documentation of student learning disabilities and special needs is filed in and disseminated through theCoordinator of Disability Services (614) 251-4233. Each semester, the Coordinator will send faculty written confirmation regarding any student eligible to receive accommodations, as well as specifications regarding the nature of these accommodations.
- It is the responsibility of the student to request accommodations for which
he/she is eligible.
- If the requested accommodation involves extended time for tests and quizzes
and/or a distraction-free test space, faculty members may make arrangements for
the student to take the test/quiz at the ARC.
- For students with visual disabilities, the ARC provides equipment that magnifies
text. The ARC also has speech recognition software. This equipment is available
during all open hours of the ARC.
- While the ARC provides information on time management and test taking strategies,
students who are experiencing stress, anxiety, and/or emotional difficulties should
contact the Director of Counseling Services at (614) 251-4589.
- Complete information regarding Ohio Dominican University’s policy on
student disability services is available in the Student Handbook.
