Network and/or Server Maintenance Window Notification

Scheduled Network Maintenance:

Servers that will be affected by a scheduled maintenance window will be posted at:

http://helpdesk.ohiodominican.edu/policies/outage.asp

  • Advance notice will be given, at least 24 hours or more if possible.
  • Patches will usually carry 24 hours notice and when necessary, be applied any day between 1:00 am - 2:00 am Eastern Time.
  • When necessary, larger scheduled maintenance procedures will be schedule with one week's notice and performed on Sunday from 6:00 am - 12:00 pm Eastern Time.
  • Network users may request to participate in a notification listserv (network-outage@ohiodominican.edu) and receive notice of network outages or visit http://helpdesk.ohiodominican.edu/policies/outage.asp to read of outages.

Scheduled Maintenance on Administrative Software Servers:

Products affected:

  • Colleague
  • Benefactor
  • WebAdvisor

The first and third Friday of each month beginning at 4:00 pm Eastern Time, access to the above products will be denied while software maintenance is performed.

This service outage could range from as little as one hour to as long as six hours, depending on the extent of the work to be performed.

Note: Information Services staff reserve the right to perform unscheduled server and/or software maintenance at any time when the integrity of data or equipment warrants such unscheduled intervention.
