  • Collegiate Career Fair - Oct. 25, 2017

    ODU will host its annual Collegiate Career Fair on Oct. 25 with Capital University and Otterbein University. All majors are welcome to attend and explore internship, graduate school and career opportunities.

    • Registration required: please log in to the ODU JobLine and scroll down to “My Events” on the main page. Click “College Career Fair,” then click “sign up.”
    • Place: Alumni Hall @ ODU
    • Time: 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  
    • More than 60 employers and graduate schools will be present.
    • You also will be able to have a professional headshot taken for your LinkedIn profile.

    The Career Development Center provides a range of services to Ohio Dominican alumni at no cost. We encourage alumni to utilize the ODU JobLine to search for employment opportunities and to post your resume.

    We also offer individualized career advising on topics such as resume development, cover letter writing, networking and interviewing.

    All ODU sponsored career fairs are also open to alumni to attend.

    Ohio Dominican's Career Development Center helps students connect their academic studies, their strengths and their goals with a future career.

    The career planning process looks different for everyone, but the key is to be actively engaged in connecting a student's interests and talents with opportunities that will develop skills and provide real world experience.

    Encourage your student to do the following:

    • Develop a greater understanding of their career goals by taking an assessment through the career center, conducting informational interviews, and attending lectures and workshops.
    • Explore all opportunities to gain experience including internships, shadowing, student organizations, campus ministry groups, and volunteer initiatives.
    • Network with a variety of people, including faculty, university staff, supervisors, parents of friend and community members.
