Ninety-six percent of our students receive some form of financial assistance, such as scholarships, grants, work-study and loans. Qualified transfer students may be eligible for merit scholarships up to $12,000.

    Columbus, the nation's 15th largest city is a big city with a small town feel. ODU's 75-acre campus is just five miles from the heart of downtown.     What is the application process for transfer students?

    The application process is easy and an admission counselor will help you through each step of the admission and financial aid process. Learn more.

    How much does the academic evaluation cost?

    There’s no cost for the evaluation. ODU provides the academic evaluation as part of the transfer process.

    How many credits will you accept from my past schools?

    We will accept all credits from college-level courses taken from accredited, four-year institutions in which you received a grade of C- or higher. We will accept up to 68 semester credits (102 quarter credits) from college-level courses in which you received a C- or higher from two-year institutions.

    What schools will you accept transfer credit from?

    Ohio Dominican will accept transfer credits from colleges or universities that are regionally accredited. The following is a list of regional accrediting agencies recognized by Ohio Dominican University:

    • New England Association of Schools & Colleges (EH)
    • Middle States Association of Colleges & Schools (M)
    • North Central Association of Colleges & Schools (NH)
    • Northwest Commission on Colleges & Schools (NW)
    • Southern Association of Colleges & Schools (SC)
    • Western Association of Schools & Colleges (WC or WJ)

    Do I need my official transcripts for the initial transfer evaluation?

    No. For your initial evaluation of credits, you may fax or email your unofficial transcripts. However, after you receive your official acceptance from ODU, you must submit official transcripts from all of the colleges and universities in which you were enrolled previously.
