Why did you choose to attend Ohio Dominican University?
I recently moved to Ohio from North Carolina. After arriving, a family friend mentioned Ohio Dominican University as one of the schools I should consider applying to. When my SAT results came in, I received a letter from ODU encouraging me to learn more about Ohio Dominican. Soon after receiving the letter, I visited ODU with my mom, and I loved the hospitality and tight-knit community.

How do you stay involved at ODU?
To get involved on campus, I decided to join Student Senate, Women of Worth and the Bird Watching Club. Being a member of Student Senate has given me leadership experience. Women of Worth has helped create a platform of friendship between me and other women, and it gives us an opportunity to voice our opinions on issues related to ODU and the community.

What is your most memorable moment at ODU?
My most memorable moment at ODU was during WOWPALOOZA. I won tickets to the Columbus Museum of Art and I got to interact with students and staff.

What is one unique experience you’ve had at ODU that has helped you grow personally, professionally and/or spiritually?
One unique experience I had at ODU that has helped me grow personally is the BARCODE event, which was held by the Office of Multicultural Affairs. It helped me see myself in a different way and has helped me grow to be a better person.

Share an example or story of how you discovered your passion at ODU.
Though I am undecided on a major, taking various courses such as Philosophy has made me discover my passion for arguments and how they relate to life. Hearing Socrates, Epictetus, and Aristotle give their views on what happiness and virtue is has helped me voice my own opinions on issues and on how I see myself.

Why are you proud to be an ODU student?
I am proud to be an ODU student because, Ohio Dominican is a second home to me and its staff and faculty are very hospitable. I also believe the education I’m receiving at ODU is helping to create a great foundation for me. I am proud to be a PANTHER!
