Why did you choose to attend Ohio Dominican University?
I chose to attend Ohio Dominican for numerous reasons. I liked the fact that ODU was located in Central Ohio, it was a smaller university with smaller classroom sizes, and I could continue my football career. It was exactly what I was looking for.

How do you stay involved at ODU?
When attending a smaller school, staying involved is a vital key. Since arriving four years ago, I have made an attempt to be involved with several organizations, include ODU’s Football Team, the President’s Society, the Future Accounting Professionals, and the Dominican Scholars. By participating in these organizations, I have been able to strengthen my skillset, particularly those in time management, teamwork, and my ability to balance a heavy schedule with an equally heavy workload.

Have you participated in any internships?
I participated in an internship at NiSource, which is the parent company of Columbia Gas. I learned about this opportunity through Jessica Hall at ODU’s Career Development Center. Jessica has helped me numerous times by reviewing and revising my resume, and conducting mock interviews.

What is your most memorable moment at ODU?
My most memorable moment at Ohio Dominican was this past football season when we won the GMAC conference championship.

What do you want to do after graduation? Do you have a job lined up?
After I graduate this May, I will be interning at Schneider Downs CPAs as an audit intern. In the fall, I will return to ODU to pursue my MBA in Leadership Management, and I will also play my fifth and final year of college football

What is one unique experience you’ve had at ODU that has helped you grow personally, professionally and/or spiritually?
One thing that I enjoy most about attending Ohio Dominican is the close interactions and relationships I’ve created with my professors. My advisor has also been my professor; the same professor that I have had at least five times for different classes. She has really helped me to grow as a student. I don’t think the relationships I’ve built at Ohio Dominican would be possible at a larger school.

Why are you proud to be an ODU student?
I'm proud to be an ODU student because the University helps students become better people, and grow in their faith and morals. I deeply respect Ohio Dominican because it pushes students to pursue and achieve things that students may believe are unreachable.
