The Faculty Development Committee is soliciting to be used for projects that will be carried out during Summer 2013. Both research-based and creative projects are welcome. These Summer Grants are competitive, merit-based awards, and are available only to full-time faculty members on continuing appointments for Fall 2013. A faculty member may submit only one proposal to the competition.
Each grant is in the amount of $2000. The funds may be spent at the discretion of the faculty member to support the project (e.g., travel, materials, child care while doing research, to provide income in lieu of summer teaching). Summer grant awardees present a summary of their projects to the University community. The Faculty Development Committee will be having open information sessions on the following dates: Jan. 18 2-3, Jan. 23 9-10, and Jan. 29 12:30-1:30 in ER 301.
Proposals are due in the Office of Academic Affairs no later than February 22, 2013. Awards will be announced in early April 2013.
