What is the OhioLINK Library Catalog?

OhioLINK is a statewide library organization. OhioLINK maintains a large library catalog that includes the records of items in over 80 college and university libraries in Ohio.

Why use the OhioLINK Library Catalog?

*Access beyond the walls of the ODU Library: If you can't find something at the ODU Library, you may be able obtain the item within a few days using the OhioLINK Library Catalog.

*Access to a wealth of information: The OhioLINK Library Catalog provides access to items in over 80 academic libraries.

*It's easy to use! Once you have found something in the OhioLINK Library Catalog, you can easily request that the item be sent to you from another OhioLINK library.

With the OhioLINK Library Catalog, if the ODU Library does not have a book you want to read for your research project, you can easily:

  • Determine whether another OhioLINK library owns a copy of that book
  • Determine whether a copy of that book is available
  • Request that the book be sent to any OhioLINK library, including ODU, for you to pick up
  • Return the book to the ODU Library and let us return it to the other library for you
