International Bibliographic Information on Dietary Supplements (IBIDS)

Public-access database from National Institutes of Health and the Office of Dietary Supplements. Provides access to citations and abstracts from published, international, scientific literature on dietary supplements.

 

MEDLINE

From the National Library of Medicine. Covers research journal articles in the clinical sciences in Some “Limit search results” features: Language, year, publication type (e.g., article, clinical trial), age group, animal, human, gender, and review articles.

 

Natural & Alternative Treatments
Provides access to information on the safety- and efficacy-evidence regarding natural products, organized by substance and by medical condition. For each condition, herb and supplement, it suggests the direct, informed questions necessary to elicit potential drug/herb/supplement interactions.

 

PubMed

PubMed is public-accessible health database service of the National Library of Medicine that includes over 15 million citations for biomedical articles back to the 1950s. Citations from MEDLINE and additional life science journals. PubMed includes links to many sites providing full-text articles and other related resources. Note: If an article is not available in PubMed full-text, try Medline.

 

Science Citation Index Expanded (ISI Web of Science)
Citations only. Indexes articles in peer-reviewed journals—complete bibliographic data, searchable author abstracts, and cited references. Coverage: 1980 to the present. Note: Not intended as a substitute for a comprehensive subject database such as Medline, which comprehensively indexes journal articles, books, conference proceedings, and other documents.

TOXNET: Toxicology Data Network
