Covers articles, essays and reviews, as well as original creative works including poems, fiction, photographs, paintings, and illustrations—all in the disciplines of the humanities.

 

MLA International Bibliography
Citations only.  Catalogs books and articles on modern languages, literatures, folklore, and linguistics. Updated 10 times per year.

 

Oxford Scholarship Online

Oxford Scholarship Online is a cross-searchable library of the full text of over 1,350 Oxford books in the areas of Economics and Finance, Philosophy, Political Science, and Religion. Coverage includes the following areas of philosophy: Aesthetics, Ancient Philosophy, General History of Philosophy, Logic/Philosophy of Mathematics, Metaphysics/Epistemology, Moral Philosophy, Philosophy of Language, Philosophy of Mind, Political Philosophy, Philosophy of Religion, and Philosophy of Science.

 

Philosopher's Index

After selecting this database, choose the database menu for Philosopher's Index and click on the 'Start Searching' button.  Please remember to click on the 'logout' link once finished.  Covers the areas of ethics, aesthetics, social philosophy, political philosophy, epistemology, and metaphysic logic as well as the philosophy of law, religion, science, history, education, and language.

 

·         A search tip: In this database, it’s a good idea to type a hyphen after the subject or author to focus your search results. This database is structured such that entries with a hyphen afterwards are determined to have significant importance to the entry.

Choose a TITLE search and type in the title of the journal or newspaper you desire.

(1) In print in the Periodicals section on the top floor, arranged alphabetically by title
(2) Back issues in print (usually prior to 1960) in the Back Issues Room on the bottom floor
(3) In microfilm in cabinets behind the Periodicals section
