Applying for financial aid at Ohio Dominican is really easy. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the only application you will need to complete for all federal, state and institutional aid programs at Ohio Dominican. File the FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1st. Having a copy of your tax information is helpful in completing the FAFSA. Be sure to list Ohio Dominican University - federal school code 003035. The FAFSA priority deadline is March 15th. Complete the FAFSA online using the FAFSA on the Web Worksheet. The student and one parent will each need to apply for a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to use as their electronic signature(s) on the online version of the FAFSA. Always keep your PIN numbers in a safe place. The PIN is similar to having a security code for accessing bank account information. Your PIN will also serve as your signature on the Master Promissory Note (MPN) if you borrow under the Stafford Loan prorams.
If you have never borrowed a Federal Stafford Loan before, you will need to complete an entrance counseling session before your loan is disbursed. This will give you all the information you need regarding your rights and responsibilities as a student loan borrower. You can do this online. Also, if you are a new borrower who has not completed a Master Promissory Note (MPN), you will need to do so to have your funds disbursed to your account. No funds will be disbursed until the MPN has been completed. Don't forget that you must be enrolled for a minimum of six credit hours each semester in which you wish to borrow a Stafford loan.
