Ohio Dominican University Health Services is located in Peace Hall through COPC's Care Forward Center. Health Services is open to all students requiring primary care, assessment, evaluation and treatment options.

About the COPC Care Forward Center at ODU

What is covered by ODU and what is billed to student or insurance?

 
Chronic illness evaluation, treatment and management of chronic conditions including, but not limited to mental health and wellness, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, etc. Bill to student or student's insurance plan.  
Acute Conditions, such as sore throats, earaches, headaches, cough, sinuses, acute urinary complaints, flu symptoms, STD concerns, etc. POC testing or send out testing will be billed to student or student's insurance plan.  Visit covered by ODU
Blood draws and urine samples. Bill to student or student's insurance plan.  
Limited medication dispensing such as over-the-counter    Visit covered by ODU
Initial assessment of injuries If sent for imaging services or PT - bill to student or student's insurance plan  Visit covered by ODU
Some immunizations Bill to student or student's insurance plan.  
Nebulizer treatment    Visit covered by ODU
Wellness Visits/Preventative Health/Reproductive Health Bill to student or student's insurance plan.  
Sports Physicals / School Physicals POC testing or send out testing will be billed to student or student's insurance plan.  Visit covered by ODU
EKG    Visit covered by ODU
Spirometer    Visit covered by ODU
Therapeutic Injections Bill to student or student's insurance plan.  
Allergy shots (students provide medication vials)    Visit covered by ODU
PPD Testing Bill to student or student's insurance plan.  
POC Testing - Covid19, Flu, Strep, Urinalysis, Urine pregnancy testing, Mono, Finger stick glucose Bill to student or student's insurance plan.  

 

Immunization Information

While ODU does not mandate vaccinations, we do recommend and highly encourage students to have them. In the event that a student wishes to be vaccinated, ODU will help. At this time, we do not require proof of vaccinations, but on-campus resident students are required to disclose their Meningococcal and Hepatitis B vaccination status per Ohio law.
