We are pleased that you are interested in considering an Immersion Service Trip as part of your experience here at Ohio Dominican. Each year, several members of our community including alumae/i, facutly, staff, and current students join together to serve in two locations during the spring semester break. This immersion into a new place and culture combined with the opportunity to serve has proven to be a transformational experience for all those involved.
Campus Ministry leads a service immersion trip to a local destination each spring, during the spring semester break. The local immersion service trip for March 2012 will be posted soon. Please check back for more details and be sure to look for emails and flyers on how you can sign up! If you are interested in more information regarding the local immersion trip, please contact email@example.com!
The International Immersion Service Program is offered through the collaborative efforts of Student Development, Alumni Office, Campus Ministry, the International Office, and the Maryknoll Lay Missioners. A group of students, alumni, and staff travel internationally to the country of El Salvador to partner with the Maryknoll Lay Missioners stationed in San Salvador. Working with the missioners there, the group travels to local communities to get to know the Salvadorian people and to help with a variety of projects to provide basic necessities like fresh food and clean water to the communities. Applications for the spring break program are due during the Fall semester so if you are interested in joining us, be sure to apply for the Spring 2012 program! If you are interested in more information please check out our El Salvador site or email firstname.lastname@example.org!
