Outcomes & Careers

Graduates of ODU's Biology program are prepared for a variety of endeavors, including graduate studies at the master’s or doctoral level, careers in health care, or direct entry into the scientific workforce.

ODU Biology students will demonstrate a fundamental knowledge of biology, acquire the cognitive and technical skills to explore the living world, and effectively communicate their scientific findings.

Biology students are able to develop and demonstrate skills in analysis, synthesis and quantitative reasoning. These skills will be used to pursue careers in science and enhance their intellectual lives.
