Feb. 10  |  10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

  • 9 a.m.: Sit in on a class*
  • 10 – 10:20 a.m.: Welcome ​
  • 10:30 – 11:45 a.m.: Interviews Round #1​
  • 10:30 – 11 a.m.: Student Involvement / Study Abroad Presentation*​
  • 11 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.: Honors Student Panel*​
  • 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.: Lunch & Honors Program Overview
  • 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.: Interviews Round #2​
  • 1 – 2:30 p.m.: Honors Living & Learning Community Tours*​
  • 2 p.m.: Sit in on a class*​

Q & A

How many interviews will I do?
Each student has 2 interviews with faculty/staff members.​

How long are interviews?​
Interviews are each 15 minutes in length.​

Do I need to attend the information sessions?​
Information sessions are optional, but we do encourage that you attend to dive deeper into the ODU experience!​​

How can I prepare for interviews?​
Triple check your confirmation that you receive after RSVPing that is sent to you via e-mail and text. Find an area that is quiet and comfortable. Be yourself – we want to know who you are and what you can bring to this program!​

What do I need to have to participate?​
You are not required to bring any additional materials. You will be provided with a padfolio and pen upon your arrival to the competition. ​

What should I wear?​
Business casual attire is encouraged, but not required.​

When will I know if I have been accepted?​
We will inform candidates no later than Monday, March 7.​

How many students receive full-tuition scholarships?​
We traditionally award 5-6 full-tuition scholarships each year.​
