Raise.me – Earn Micro-Scholarships to ODU
ODU has partnered with Raise.me to offer students – starting in ninth grade – the opportunity to begin earning micro-scholarships to ODU. All you need to do is sign up and start achieving goals!
Examples of Available Micro-Scholarships
All applicants will be evaluated for Ohio Dominican Merit Scholarships at the time of acceptance. Scholarship levels are determined by the applicant’s high school GPA and ACT or SAT score.
- $500 for each “A” you earn in any Core or Fine Arts Course (up to $7,500 total, or $1,875 per year).
- $300 for each .1 points above a 3.4 GPA you achieve (up to $27,000 total or $6,750 per year).
- $300 for perfect attendance.
- $200 for playing a sport – at least two hours a week (up to $1,800 maximum).
- $14,000 for an ACT score of 18, then $660 for each additional point, and $14,000 for earning an SAT score of 940 (Math and Reading), then $180 for each additional 10 points,
- $1,000 for attending a college fair meeting with Ohio Dominican University (up to $1,000).
- $4,000 for visiting Ohio Dominican University’s campus (up to $4,000 maximum award).

Is Raise.me free?
Yes. Raise.me is entirely free for high school students. The cost of the program is paid by charitable foundations, colleges, and other funders.
Are these real scholarships?
Yes! We partnered with Raise.me to allow you to earn scholarships to Ohio Dominican University earlier in high school and help you see how you can be a competitive candidate at ODU. When ODU awards student scholarships on Raise.me, we are guaranteeing these scholarships will be included in your financial aid package after you are admitted.
Who can use Raise.me?
Students who are in grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 and attend high school in the United States can use Raise.me.
Who's eligible to earn micro-scholarships?
ODU’s Raise.Me scholarships are available for incoming freshman. They are not available for international, online-only, part-time, transfer or returning ODU students.
How do I get started?
You begin by creating an account on Raise.me. Once your account is established, you should follow Ohio Dominican University and add achievements such as grades, extracurricular activities and leadership positions to your portfolio.
How do I receive these scholarships from Ohio Dominican University?
You must follow Ohio Dominican University and complete your profile on Raise.me by Feb. 15 of your senior year.

I achieved earlier in high school?
Yes. You can fill in your high school portfolio retroactively with achievements going back to the start of ninth grade, and will be eligible to earn scholarships as if you have been using Raise.me since ninth grade. The more complete your portfolio is, the more opportunities you have to earn micro-scholarships.
How often should I add achievements to my portfolio?
You should add achievements as frequently as you can throughout high school. Adding achievements to your portfolio increases your eligibility for earning scholarships from Ohio Dominican University.
Can I use the scholarships I earn from the Ohio Dominican University program to pay
the cost of attending another school?
No. Micro-scholarships are not transferrable between different colleges. You can only use the scholarships that you earn from one school towards the cost of attending that same college — not to any other school.
Which courses should I add to my portfolio?
You should add all of your courses from grades nine through twelve in order for Ohio Dominican University to award you the correct amount in scholarships.
Can the Raise.me scholarship be used in addition to other scholarships from Ohio Dominican?
The scholarship you receive through the Undergraduate Admissions process will be equal to or greater than the amount you have earned through Raise.me. The Raise.me funds serve as a guaranteed minimum scholarship that rewards students for being proactive in High School. These funds will not be added on top of other awards offered through the Undergraduate Admissions process.
