Course Name: Teaching Insurance (Grades 6-12)
This online, two-credit, graduate-level course for 6th-12th grade teachers in Ohio is designed to provide teachers with the knowledge and proficiency needed to effectively educate middle and high school students on the topics of basic property and casualty insurance principles as well as social security, Medicare, disability, life and health insurance.

• Summer 2018: June 1 – August 12
• Spring 2019: January 14 – March 3
- Course Registration Dates:
• Summer 2018 registration is open until July 1, 2018
• Spring 2019: November 1, 2018 – January 7, 2019

Participants can complete the 10-module course as quickly as preferred, but must register for the Summer course with at least six weeks before the end of the course.

Ohio Insurance Institute (OII) is offering full scholarships ($500) to educators who teach or plan to teach insurance topics. If awarded a scholarship, you will be reimbursed the course fee upon successful completion of the course. Scholarship application will be open through December 31, 2018.
