Military-Related Financial Aid

ODU is committed to making the transition back to school easier and more affordable for veterans, active servicemembers, and military education benefits-eligible dependents.

General Financial Aid Information

Ohio Dominican offers many types of financial aid to our students. Some, such as loans and grants, are based on financial need. Others are based on past academic performance, also known as "merit." Our Financial Aid office has more information about financial aid resources available to all Ohio Dominican students.

The Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008 puts earning a college degree well within the reach of veterans who qualify for this generous educational benefit.

  • Eligibility is based on the total number of active duty months served post September 11, 2001.
  • Interested veterans should submit the required documentation and application to the Veterans Administration for review and approval.
  • Once approved, we will work with each qualifying veteran to keep their academic goals on track.
  • Additionally, ODU participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program, which provides additional funding to help close the gap between the assistance provided by Post-9/11 act and the actual cost of tuition.

For more information regarding Post-9/11 education benefits, the Yellow Ribbon Program or ODU course offerings, contact the Admission Office at (800) 955-OHIO or military@ohiodominican.edu.

ODU is full participant in the Yellow Ribbon Program, which provides additional funding to help close the gap between the assistance from the Post-9/11 program and the actual cost of tuition.
