Ohio Dominican University has named Thomas Eveland, Ph.D. Director of Graduate Business Programs. He will be primarily responsible for ODU’s MBA program, but will also have oversight over the Healthcare Administration and Sport Management programs to ensure courses reflect current industry trends, and students are provided a high-quality education both online and on campus. Eveland has served as a site evaluator for the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). ODU’s MBA program is ACBSP accredited.

Eveland earned a doctorate in Higher Education from Ohio University, a Bachelor of Business Administration from DeVry University, and a Master of Business Administration from DeVry’s Keller Graduate School of Management. His past research aimed to better identify, understand, and support first generation college students. His recent scholarship evaluates higher education's role and effectiveness in preparing entrepreneurs to be successful in the gig economy.

Eveland most recently served as national chair of DeVry University’s College of Business & Management. He also served as a professor where he taught courses in finance, business and data analysis. He has previous experience in the areas of academic affairs, accreditation and assessment, grant procurement, and enrollment management.

“Dr. Eveland brings tremendous experience and expertise to Ohio Dominican University,” said Manuel Martinez, Ph.D., ODU’s acting vice president for Academic Affairs. “Our students expect and deserve a rigorous education that will prepare them to face challenges in an ever-evolving business climate. Dr. Eveland’s intimate knowledge of industry trends will help to ensure the education we provide in our graduate business programs is relevant and sensitive to market needs so our students are equipped with the knowledge they need to obtain and succeed in executive-level positions.”

“I am very excited to join the world-class faculty at Ohio Dominican,” Eveland said. “The director role provides me the opportunity to work closely with accomplished faculty and talented staff to explore ways to deliver ODU's graduate business programs to students here in our community and around the world.”
