Art Market in Wehrle Hall

ODU to Host Spring Art Makers Market and Festival on April 15

This event will feature a variety of items handcrafted by ODU students, faculty and staff.

Mar 22, 2021

Ohio Dominican University’s student art club, the Palette Club, will host a special Spring Art Makers Market from 12:20 – 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 15. The event will take place outside Wehrle Hall, located on ODU’s campus at 1216 Sunbury Road, Columbus, 43219. In the event of inclement weather, the event will take place inside the Wehrle Art Gallery.

This event will feature a variety of items handcrafted by ODU students, faculty and staff. The event also will include a variety of vendors, music and activities. Items for sale include original artwork, weavings, handmade accessories, blankets and lip products.

Plans to host a Spring Art Makers Market were developed after the university was unable to host its annual Holiday Art Market last winter due to state and local health guidelines and restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Our goal is to create an event that helps to celebrate the conclusion of a challenging school year and also showcases the work of our outstanding Art, Art Education and Graphic Design students, as well as the talents of other members of our campus community,” said Reagan Mounts, president of ODU’s Palette Club. “All members of the ODU community and the general public are invited to attend this celebration and support Ohio Dominican’s art students by purchasing these unique items for themselves or loved ones.”
