Dr. Devin Laurent is an Assistant Professor of Exercise Science. He earned his B.S. and M.A. at Central Michigan University in Exercise Science with a specialization in cardiac rehabilitation and exercise physiology. He earned his Ph.D. at The Ohio State University in Exercise Physiology with a specialization in health behavior and health promotion. He primarily works with children and adolescents to promote healthy lifestyle behaviors and to educate youth populations about ways to improve cardiovascular health.

Dr. Laurent’s research interests include designing health behavior interventions to promote physical activity and self-regulatory skills among youth and adult populations. He has additional research experience in examining the impact of exercise behavior programs with individuals in various special populations. This includes patients in enrolled in cardiac rehabilitation and individuals diagnosed with metabolic disease such as Type I and Type II diabetes mellitus.

Dr. Laurent joined the faculty at Ohio Dominican University in the Fall of 2021. His primary teaching interests involve human anatomy, human physiology, clinical exercise physiology, biomechanics and behavioral health.
