Why did you choose to attend Ohio Dominican University? I chose to attend Ohio Dominican because of the number of academic opportunities available. ODU is also located in the perfect location – it’s good distance away from home and close to downtown Columbus. How do you stay involved at ODU? I have been a resident assistant for the past three years. As a RA, I have the opportunity to interact with and help a large number of student residents. This experience has been very rewarding. Have you participated in any internships? As an education major, I have had a number of teaching placements. The education department does a great job of finding the students meaningful experiences that will help when they are teaching after graduation. What is your most memorable moment at ODU? My most memorable moments at ODU are all focused around the memories I have made with my friends. ODU is a close-knit community that allows you to build meaningful and lasting friendships. What do you want to do after graduation? After graduation, I plan to teach special education. My ideal job would be teaching Kindergarten through fifth grade students with emotional disorders, or high school students with various mild to moderate disabilities. My job search will begin this January. What is one unique experience you've had at ODU that has helped you grow personally, professionally and/or spiritually? A unique experience I've had at ODU is the opportunity to build one-on-one relationships with my professors and advisors. These relationships have certainly helped me grow professionally, and they’ve allowed me to gain as much knowledge as possible.
