Graphic Design

Ashland High School, Ashland, Ohio

I help with Art activities at ODU. Off campus, I am involved in Girls on the Run as a volunteer coach and committee member.

Why did you choose to attend Ohio Dominican University?

I love the atmosphere at Ohio Dominican. The small community allows for close relationships and that's exactly what I wanted in a school. I also love ODU’s location in Columbus, Ohio.

How do you stay involved at ODU?

I stay involved at ODU by participating in numerous Art activities. The Art community is a close-knit group who I share many classes and activities with. It's also brought me friendships and experiences that I enjoy!

Have you participated in any internships?

I have been involved in two internships. One internship was with Fulcrum Software Solutions in Dublin, Ohio. The other internship was with Girls on the Run of Central Ohio. Both of these internships helped me learn so much about my future career as a graphic designer and how companies work. Without them, I would not feel as confident going forward in my career.

What is your most memorable moment at ODU so far?

My most memorable moment at ODU so far has been working on a green art project where I worked with three other girls to create this giant work on campus. The work we put in and the fun we had really was an awesome experience!

What is one unique experience you’ve had at ODU that has helped you grow personally, professionally and/or spiritually?

One experience that comes to mind is classroom critiques. When people critique your work, it's very intimidating but it really helps your work improve. I've learned so much from these critiques.

Why are you proud to be an ODU student?

I am so proud to be an ODU student because I am able to share the experience of this campus with so many great students and professors. I can't wait to graduate as an ODU Panther!
