Why did you choose to attend Ohio Dominican University?
The main reason I chose to attend Ohio Dominican University was because I was accepted into the Physician Assistant Studies Early Assurance Program, meaning I am already accepted into the PA master’s program here at ODU. Another reason I chose to attend ODU was because it shares the same Catholic values that I have, which play a prominent role in my life. Ohio Dominican also gives me the opportunity to take full advantage of receiving a private liberal arts education. ODU seemed to be a great school for me!

How do you stay involved at ODU?
I stay involved by participating in numerous student organizations. I am a member of Student Senate, Panthers Activities Council, and Student Culinary Council. By participating in these organizations, and by being voted into leadership roles, I have learned important skills that can only be acquired through these kinds of experiences.

What is your most memorable moment at ODU?
My most memorable moment so far at ODU was being voted, by my peers, as a homecoming court representative. This meant a lot to me because it means I’m having a positive influence on the people around me.

What do you want to do after graduation?
After graduation I plan on attending ODU’s physician assistant school. Once I become a PA, I hope to work with children, especially in the NICU.

What is one unique experience you’ve had at ODU that has helped you grow personally, professionally and/or spiritually?
My work study job at the Career Development Center allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. Working as an office assistant taught me what it takes for a whole office to run smoothly and how every little part of a job is important, especially when it involves the careers of others. While working in the office, I learned skills that help me efficiently communicate to other professionals, students and my advisers.

How have you discovered your passion at ODU?
I discovered my passion at ODU by doing the simple things: I went to my classes and was intrigued and loved the challenges they provided, proving I was on the right path toward my career. I found my passion of being a leader when I was voted as a representative for the whole freshman class, or as a secretary for a club while only being a freshman.

Why are you proud to be an ODU student?
I'm proud to be an ODU student because I share the University's many values, not only in dedication to academic excellence but also in the pledge to developing the community and its members.
