Why did you choose to attend Ohio Dominican University?
I chose to come to ODU because it feels like home. Both of my parents attended Ohio Dominican and were married in Christ the King Chapel, and my grandmother attended ODU when it was still the College of St. Mary of the Springs. I also wanted to attend a university where I’d have the opportunity to develop close relationships with my professors.

How do you stay involved at ODU?
I try to stay involved as much as I can. I joined band and choir so that I could continue pursuing music in college. The Honors board gave me a voice within an organization, and St. Paul’s Outreach connected me with students through the Catholic Church and opportunities for fellowship with like-minded individuals. These organizations have taught me how to balance all aspects of my life, and have helped me learn how to handle stress.

Have you participated in any internships?
I currently work at the Ohio Senate as a Legislative Page. Since I want to work in the legal/political field, this has been a great opportunity to connect with professionals in that area. Also, I’ve had ability to learn the intricacies of politics and the legislative process.

What is your most memorable moment at ODU?
My most memorable moment was when I had the opportunity to go on a pilgrimage to Rome and the Vatican during Holy Week 2018 with St. Paul’s Outreach. During this pilgrimage, we explored many different churches and the Vatican. At the Vatican, we had mass at the tomb of St. Pope John Paul II, and attended an Easter Vigil with Pope Francis. This was such a profound experience that allowed me to see and feel His presence all around me.

What do you want to do after graduation?
After graduation I plan to attend law school so that I can become a lawyer specializing in human and sex trafficking.

How have you discovered your passion at ODU?
When I arrived at Ohio Dominican, I knew that I wanted to attend law school following my undergraduate studies. But ODU connected me with professors who have helped me concentrate my focus.

Why are you proud to be an ODU student?
I am proud to be an ODU student because it is a part of my family.
