ODU Awarded $211,974 Grant in support of STEM student scholarships

The State of Ohio through its Choose Ohio First (COF) Program awarded Ohio Dominican a $211,974 “Completion Grant.” The funding will support ODU STEM scholarship students who are already in the COF program, who have not yet graduated, scholarship support through to graduation. The COF program is an initiative promoted and administered by the Ohio Department of Higher Education and is designed to strengthen Ohio’s competitiveness within STEM disciplines. The program seeks to increase the number of students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees by providing financial support to qualified students in fields that include Data Analytics, Biology, Exercise Science, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Chemistry, Environmental Science, and Biopsychology. The Choose Ohio First program at ODU is a strategic partnership which offers qualified students, in innovative STEM disciplines at ODU, scholarships in addition to Faculty mentoring, and Career Development assistance to connect them to work-based learning experiences and careers in the STEM field. The completion grant scholarship award will be in effect from academic year 2026/2027 to 2028/2029. Ohio Dominican is grateful for the continued support from the State of Ohio and the Choose Ohio First program.

ODU awarded $5,000 Grant for Campus Ministry programming

The Office of Campus Ministry promotes the spiritual enrichment and personal development of members of ODU’s campus community through a full range of Catholic-based faith experiences, and integrates both ecumenical and interreligious programming. The funding support will create additional programming opportunities which will focus on the spiritual and personal growth of our campus community.
