Academics are at the heart of everything we do at Ohio Dominican. Your ODU education starts in the classroom and continues on athletic fields and in residence halls, in rehearsals and clubs, in the library and the lab. But it always begins with the relationship between students and their instructors.

As a Catholic liberal arts university in the Dominican tradition, Ohio Dominican University is guided in its educational mission by the Dominican motto: to contemplate truth and to share with others the fruits of this contemplation.

Our Core curriculum, taken by all students, focuses on seven learning outcomes that collectively identify our expectations for all Ohio Dominican graduates.

Additionally, students must complete a sequence of courses in one of 39 undergraduate major areas of study including those in the arts, sciences, and professions.
