Each year, Ohio Dominican students, alumni, family and friends return to campus to celebrate Homecoming Weekend. Join us for new and traditional alumni events, and to cheer on our Panthers as they take the field against the Alderson Broaddus Battlers!


5:30 to 9 p.m.: 2018 Athletic Hall of Fame Recognition Dinner (RVSP)

9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Bookstore Open
10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Picnic Tailgate behind Panther Stadium for ODU Community (Faculty/Staff/Students/Alumni/Friends) (RSVP)
11 a.m.: Golf Cart Parade
11:15 a.m.: Pep Session - Panther Stadium Main Entrance
Noon: Football Game Kickoff
Halftime: Recognition of 2018 Athletic Hall of Fame Honorees and Homecoming Court Announcement
 3:30 p.m.: Mass in the Christ the King Chapel

Homecoming Details:

Join alumni, faculty, staff and friends for Homecoming 2018! Homecoming starts with a picnic tailgate behind Panther Stadium from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The tailgate is FREE and all are welcome to attend. There will be great food, refreshments, games, giveaways and more! Take the opportunity to spend time with ODU's President, Dr. Robert Gervasi, and his wife, Jen.

The ODU Bookstore will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Additionally, Thunder (ODU's Mascot), the cheerleaders and the marching band will stop by the tailgate. Take the opportunity to watch the annual Golf Cart Parade beginning at 11 a.m. in the main parking lot behind the Bishop Griffin Student Center. The Pep Session with the band and cheerleaders will take place in front of the Stadium at 11:15 a.m. The ODU Panthers take on Alderson Broaddus with kickoff at Noon. The ODU 2018 Homecoming King and Queen Court announcement and 2018 Athletic Hall of Fame inductees recognition will take place during halftime. If you come to the tailgate, we will provide you with free tickets to the game. Following the football game there will be a Homecoming Mass in Christ the King Chapel on campus at 3:30 p.m. and all are welcome to attend.

Black & Gold Athletic Hall of Fame

2018 Athletics Hall of Fame present by Sports Medicine Nationwide Children's
A trio of former Ohio Dominican student-athletes in Stephanie Bowshier Curry '06, Tara Drumm Stout '97, and Becky Richter LaBrake '04 will be inducted as members of the 2018 Black & Gold Club Athletic Hall of Fame, presented by Nationwide Children’s Sports Medicine, during Homecoming weekend on Sept. 28-29.The 2018 Athletic Hall of Fame Recognition Dinner will be held in the evening on Friday, September 28.  The group will be honored during the Athletic Hall of Fame Recognition Dinner on Friday, September 28 at 6 p.m. in the Bishop James A. Griffin Student Center in Rooms 258-260. Cost for the dinner is $35 a person. There is limited space for this event, so please RSVP by clicking HERE as soon as possible. The inductees will be recognized publicly during the football game at halftime. Induction into the Ohio Dominican Athletic Hall of Fame is one of the highest honors that a Panther student-athlete can receive. The Hall of Fame formally recognizes former students and coaches who excelled in Ohio Dominican athletics as well as friends of the university who helped to advance the overall athletics program to new levels. The Hall of Fame encourages student-athletes to strive to attain the highest standards of performance and conduct.
