Ohio Dominican University alumni, friends and family are invited to celebrate the University’s Homecoming at the 2019 Alumni Tailgate on Saturday, Sept. 21. The free tailgate will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. outside the main entrance to Panther Stadium prior to the football team’s noon matchup against the University of Findlay Oilers. A Homecoming Mass will be held at 4:30 p.m. in Christ the King Chapel, which is located in Sansbury Hall.
The Alumni Tailgate will include festivities for all Panthers, including:
- Free tailgate
- Complimentary tickets to ODU’s football game
- Games for kids with giveaways
- Annual student Golf Cart Parade
- Pep Session with ODU’s Marching Panthers and Cheerleaders
- Visit by ODU’s Mascot, Thunder

During the football game, ODU will recognize this year’s Homecoming Court, as well as its 2019 Distinguished Alumni Award (DAA) recipients: Theresa A. Holleran, Ph.D. ’75, Thomas R. Winters, JD ’72, and Karen S. Days, MBA ’09. The DAA recipients will also be honored at ODU’s annual Distinguished Alumni Awards Dinner at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, in the Colonial Room, located in Sansbury Hall. New members of ODU’s Black and Gold Athletic Hall of Fame also will be recognized during the football game: Adam Arnett ’07 & ’08, Joe Janusik ’08, Katie Maloney ’06, and Cris Reisert ’09 & ’11.
