Spangler Learning Center joins libraries, booksellers, publishers, and educators across the US to celebrate the freedom to read during Banned Books week, September 18-24. Using Jeremy Glazer’s presentation; “Poetic Justice: Socially Conscious Poetry from the American Revolution to Amanda Gorman” as a guide, a display of some of the most challenged books will be featured all week in the library.
Come in and check out these titles that observe how “Books Unite Us, Censorship Divides Us” then attend the Center for Dominion Studies Lecture by Jeremy Glazer, Professor of English, on Thursday, September 22 at 3:30 p.m. in the Colonial Room.
