"Ohio Dominican is a part of our family."

Jimmie '96/'15 (MBA) & Elizabeth Ingram Vogt '86, Double Dominicans

Two photos of Jimmie and Elizabeth Ingram Vogt; one taken on their wedding day in ODU's Christ the King Chapel, and one of them recently together on a boat with water and the American flag behind them.

Although we have known each other for most of our lives, it took us a while to finally start our life together, something we couldn’t have done without Ohio Dominican. It seems that most of our big milestones in life can all be traced back to the university.

From getting married in Sansbury to both getting to walk across the stage at graduation to receive our degrees. From one of us getting a chance to work for the university we love, and most recently, to our daughter’s making the decision to continue their education at ODU.

Ohio Dominican is more than just a building or a place; Ohio Dominican is a part of our family. After everything that Ohio Dominican has given us, we feel like the best way to show our appreciation is by giving back. Not only financially, but by also sharing the love and passion we have with ODU.

Being a Double Dominican is a special connection that only some are privileged to have.

We challenge our other Double Dominicans to add their story and pictures on ODU's Alumni Facebook page by clicking here to share with the ODU community all the great things that come out of going to our beloved university.
