Testing Center

Ohio Dominican University is committed to providing all students with appropriate opportunities to benefit from and enjoy their ODU experience.

ODU’s Testing Center is for students with academic accommodations. In addition, students not registered with Accessibility Services may utilize the Testing Center for make-up exams with space permitting.

Students with testing accommodations may take their exams, tests, and quizzes in the Testing Center located in Spangler Learning Center, room 210.

  • Students must notify their professors prior to the exam date if they plan to take an exam in the Testing Center using testing accommodations.
  • Students are expected to take exams at the same time as their classmates. If their schedule prohibits this, the student must receive permission from their professor to take the exam at a different time.
  • Students must schedule their exam in the Testing Center a minimum of 48 hours in advance by submitting the Testing Center Appointment Form. Students will receive confirmation of the exam date and time via email.
  • It is the responsibility of the student to schedule their exams in the Testing Center based on exam dates communicated by the professor in the syllabus, in class, or over email.
  • Consult the professor about make-up policies for missing an exam. Having a documented disability does not automatically excuse a student from missing an exam.

Faculty will be copied on the confirmation email students receive after completing the Testing Center Appointment Form. If a student is taking your exam in the Testing Center,

  • Paper Exams: print a copy of your exam and deliver it to the Front Desk of Spangler Learning Center at least 24 hours in advance. Be sure to include the Testing Center Exam Cover Sheet.
  • Digital Exams: if your exam will be taken by students on a computer in the Testing Center, complete the Faculty Digital Exam Submission Form at least 24 hours in advance.
  • E-Reader Accommodation: if your student is approved for the E-Reader Accommodation, please email a Microsoft Word version of your exam to accessibilityservices@ohiodominican.edu at least 24 hours in advance.
