Course Reserves

Stop by the front desk on the top floor of Spangler Learning Center to complete the Course Reserves Request Form, or print it from this page, fill it out ahead of time, and bring it in.

You may request to have items placed on reserve at any time, but please be aware that there is a rush of requests at the beginning of each term.

Therefore, we recommend submitting materials as soon as possible before the term. Please allow up to 3 business days for processing.

Yes, but the Library is not responsible for damage or loss of personal items while they are on reserve.

A record is created in the library catalog for each item and each item is processed with a barcoded reserve band.

In order to check out reserve materials, students will need to bring their ODU ID card to the Circulation Services Desk of the Library. You can also direct them to this page for more information.

They will need to know the course for each item they wish to check out.

No. Only items belonging to the Ohio Dominican University Library or to individual faculty & staff may be placed on reserve. Placing any other materials on reserve is against Copyright Law.

You may select a removal date on the Course Reserves Request form. At the end of the term or on the removal date, the materials will be taken off reserve.

Faculty & staff who have submitted personal copies will have materials returned to them via their campus mailbox, as soon as possible after removal.
