Course & Degree Requirements
ODU's Intervention Specialist program prepares graduates for an Ohio license in Mild/Moderate and/or Moderate/Intensive educational needs in grades K-12.
- Bachelor of Science in Education in Intervention Specialist - Mild/Moderate Educational Needs
- Bachelor of Science in Education in Intervention Specialist - Moderate/Intensive Educational Needs
- Intervention Specialist License - Mild/Moderate Educational Needs
- Intervention Specialist License - Moderate/Intensive Educational Needs
Studies include the general education core requirements and a wide range of professional education courses. In addition, students are provided opportunities to participate in extensive field-based experiences in school settings for children with Mild/Moderate and/or Moderate/Intensive educational needs.
The program models guidelines of the Ohio Department of Education, the Council for Exceptional Children and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.
Students may elect to earn one or both Intervention Specialist Licenses.
